Dissol & Dissol Citrus

Dissol is a concentrated all purpose cleaner. It was introduced to the motor vehicle industry 50 years ago to clean the vinyl seats in Holdens and Fords. It has had minor formulation changes over time  due to changes in raw materials and environmental considerations but remains a high strength formulation with its major feature being able to clean vinyl without fading or drying out the vinyl surface. Over time it has found many more applications and is now a proven all purpose cleaner for car and house. It also acts as a deodoriser and has a distinctive pine oil smell.

FAQs

How does Dissol work?

Dissol is a versatile all-purpose cleaner that works by effectively breaking down dirt, grime and stains on various surfaces. Its cleaning power is attributed to its special formulation, which allows it to penetrate and loosen contaminants without causing damage to the cleaned surfaces.

Dissol is particularly effective in cleaning vinyl and plastic without drying or harming these materials. For automotive applications, it can also serve as an engine degreaser. Dissol's cleaning action makes it an excellent choice for both household and automotive cleaning needs.

How do I use Dissol?

Using Dissol is easy and straightforward. Simply spray the product directly onto the surface you want to clean. Allow it to penetrate the dirt or stains for a short period, then wipe it away using a damp cloth. For an added touch, you can further polish the cleaned surface with a dry cloth. Its ease of use and effectiveness make it a convenient choice for quick and efficient cleaning.

Can Dissol be diluted with water, and when is this recommended?

Yes, Dissol can be diluted with water, which is particularly useful for lightly soiled surfaces. Dilution allows you to extend the product's usage and adjust its strength according to the specific cleaning task. For heavy-duty cleaning or tough stains, it is recommended that you use Dissol at full strength. However, for less demanding cleaning, diluting it with water is a cost-effective and practical approach.
